METHODIST CHURCH: Nigel Bishop was the preacher on Sunday. Readings were read by Steven Bostock and Brenda Lawrance. The offering was collected by Christopher Trounson and flowers provided by Kathryn Jenkin. Accompanist was Esther Bosustow.

On Sunday at 11am the family service will be led by Mrs S Bennetts. Arrangements have been made to hold a Candlelight Carol Service at Cury Chapel on Tuesday, December 17 at 7pm.

VILLAGE HALL: Cash Prize Bingo was held on Thursday and was an enjoyable evening. There will be no Bingo evening in November. Thursday is the Monsters and Ghouls Family Disco with Phil Greet and Night chasers, 7-9pm - Fancy dress competition, refreshments. The Christmas Draw squares are available at any of the Hall Functions £1 each also from any of the coffee mornings from 9-11am on Thursdays. The draw will take place on Sunday, December 1 after the Christmas Lights Switch-On.

ST CORENTIN’S CHURCH TOWER/BELL PROJECT: A Holly Fair will be held at the Village Hall on Saturday, November 2 from 2–4pm with stalls, raffle and refreshments. All proceeds to Cury Church Bells project.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: The next meeting is on Thursday, November 7 at 7.15pm in the village hall. The speaker will be John Head of Head & Head Veterinary Surgeons of Helston.
