VILLAGE HALL: Father Christmas made an early visit on Sunday afternoon for the annual children’s Christmas party. Each child present received a gift. Thanks to the committee who each year put on fund raising events to help pay for the party - Philip and Kyle Greet organised the music and games and members served the teas. Following the party the Christmas lights were switched-on by Brenda Lawrance who thanked the committee for all their hard work throughout the year.

In the Christmas Draw: 1, £50, Marea Reynolds; 2, £30, Carol Cook; 3, £20, Ace McCarthy. There were several other superb prizes.

METHODIST CHAPEL: Julie Swann led the family service on Sunday morning. Julie got the congregation involved and told the story of the Coming of the Baby Jesus. Lacey Bell lit the first candle in the Advent Wreath and Harriet Curnow and Edward Boaden collected the offering. On Sunday the appointed preacher is Chris Smith.

On Tuesday at 7pm we will be having Carols by Candlelight followed by refreshments, we look forward to welcoming you.

The annual Carol Service will be held on Sunday, December 22 at 11am followed by the Christmas Lunch in the village hall. Please book your meal by ringing Brenda on 01326240889 - adults £5, children £2.50.

PARISH CHURCH OF ST CORENTYN: The Bishop of Truro, the Right Rev Tim Thornton will be visiting for the morning service at 9.30am on Sunday, December 15, all welcome.
