It was a good start to the May meeting when two new members were welcomed.

The main business of the meeting was to discuss the WI 2014 Resolution – increasing organ donation. A lot of interest was shown in this resolution. Members split into small groups and a lively debate took place. Members were then asked to vote if they were either in favour or against the resolution. The result was forwarded to our delegate to the National Federation of WIs Annual Meeting in Leeds.

The rest of the meeting was social time and Pat Wells kindly offered to organise a session of Bingo. This was warmly welcomed and proved to be a great deal of fun with small prizes were awarded to the winners.

Something Red competition: 1, Rosemary Bray; 2, Yvonne Upton; 3, Elizabeth Endean.

Flower of the month was won by Val Stephens.

The Rambling Club will re-start in July, date and venue to be arranged.

Our next meeting is on Friday, June 13 at 2.15pm. Jane Mills will be giving a cookery demonstration ‘Easy Summer Eats’. A meeting not to be missed!
