ST CORENTYN'S CHURCH: The Trinity Five service was led by Father Shane Griffiths taking as his theme the Parable of the Sower. Readings were by Gill Bayliss and Margaret Bostock with John Lawrance reading Psalm 139.

METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday at 11am will be led by the Rev Geoffrey Thorpe. This will be a holy communion unity service - All welcome.

VILLAGE HALL: Cury Village Hall Show schedules to be held on October 4 are now available. Due to the high cost of postage we will no longer be posting them to exhibitors as in previous years. Schedules will be available at the following locations: Mullion Post Office, Cornwall Trophies, Wilson Way, Pool and Cury Village Hall, also from the secretary Jeanette Dodd on 01326 240045.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE: The next meeting will be on Thursday, August 7 when the speaker will be Alan Foster - Old Time Music Hall Sing-a-long. Competition: Old Time Record/Sheet Music. Come and join us for a friendly night out, we meet on the first Thursday of each month except January at the Village Hall at 7.15pm.

CURY C OF E SCHOOL: Pupils held their end of year leaver’s service last Thursday at St Corentyn's Church. This was a chance for the school to say farewell to their current year 6 pupils and also to celebrate achievements made throughout the school. Certificates of achievements were made to the pupils.

The school is saying farewell to Honey and Lily who will be starting at Mullion Comprehensive in September. Head Teacher Lisa Newbery thanked everyone for their help in her first year at Cury and praised the children for all they have achieved this year.
