WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: All eyes were watching the incoming weather hoping that it would stay fine for the next few hours. True to form the Cornish weather lived up to expectations and the Saturday evening was warm and sunny.

The president's picnic was held at our chairlady's farm and she and her helpers laid out a super spread on long tables under marquees. The Pimms were terrific and glasses were quickly replenished. Everyone was asking for the recipe. After a few tipples the quiz was hilarious, jumbled up words with a garden theme arranged by the president’s grandson. Lots of people attended and it was lovely to catch-up with everyone.
