VILLAGE HALL: A barn dance jointly organised by the committee and Cury Women's Institute will take place on Saturday at 7.30pm. Music by The Other Band. Admission, including supper, is £7.00 for adults and children £3.00. To book please telephone Jenny on 01326 241946.

The annual Village Hall Show takes place on Saturday, October 4 at 2.30pm. Prizes will be presented at 4pm by Justin Leigh, BBC Spotlight Presenter. Due to the high cost of postage we are not sending out schedules this year but they can be collected from the following venues:- Secretary, Jeanette Dodd on 01326 240045, Village Hall Foyer, Mullion PO, Gweek PO, Mawgan SPAR, Sweet Pea, Florist, Helston & Cornwall Trophies, Pool.

METHODIST CHURCH: The Harvest Festival and family service on Sunday was led by Mandy Jenkin. The offering was taken by Lucy Boaden and Chase Bell, accompanist was Esther Bosustow, flowers by Brenda Lawrance and other members. All donations of food given were taken to the Mustard Seed Food Bank at Helston.

After the service the congregation sat down to a delicious spread for a bring-and-share lunch which was thoroughly enjoyed.

There is no service on Sunday as we are joining Mullion for the United Service with the Rev Steve Swann.

Our next family service will be on Sunday, October 5 at 11am.

MULLION OLD CORNWALL: Sixteen members visited Torpoint recently for the Cornish Goredh held in a park overlooking the River Tamar in beautiful weather.

The Mullion Banner was carried by Rosemary Stone and Priscilla Oates carried the London Cornish Banner.

The Harvest Home will be held on Monday, October 13 at 7.30pm in Mullion WI Hall.
