There was no shortage of partners on Saturday evening for the Barn Dance. Visitors twirled and clapped hands to a fantastic band whose members guided them all the way. We had a huge turn out from both Cury WI and Cury Hall Committee who had both worked so hard to make it a success. With the bar open and eager participants clambering to get up and form their sets in the quick fire dances it was impossible not to enjoy it. Jenny our WI President was brilliant, having done a lot of work before and during the evening was thanked profusely.

A ploughman’s plate was all part of the ticket price and what a sight. Cheese discounted for us by our local supermarket, home grown salads, homemade pickle, rolls and butter and a generous slice of apple. A raffle and a roll a pound coin to a bottle of whiskey which was generously given back by the winner to be auctioned was well supported.

It was a brilliant evening and everyone wants to have another in the future.
