ST CORENTYN'S CHURCH: Father Shane was on leave so we had the pleasure of the 'Roving Rev' also known as the Rev Sharon Chalcraft to lead our service.

On Saturday from 2-4pm the Holly Fair is being held in the village hall. With lots of stalls you will be able to buy some of your Christmas presents. All proceeds for the Church Bells Project. METHODIST CHURCH: Gerald Triggs led the morning service at on Sunday morning, taking for his sermon the story from John chapter 12 where Jesus was anointed at Bethany and Mary took some very expensive perfume and poured it on His feet, much to the disapproval of Judas Iscariot.

The offering was taken up by Christopher Trounson and accompanist was Sybil Benney with the flowers given by Pene Oates.

On Sunday at 11am the family service will be led by Julie Swann.

Shoe boxes for Link to Hope, a Christian charity have to be back at Chapel next Sunday. There is a choice of filling a box for a family or elderly.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE: The meeting on November 6 at 7.15pm will be open to all, including the men folk. The speaker for the evening will be Sarah Chapman "Tales of an Obsessive Knitter". We are not asking the men to learn to knit but to come and enjoy the social half-hour where some of them might see themselves in the films that were made of past shows the WI have put on.

New members are always welcome to join us, we meet on the first Thursday of each month except January in Cury Village Hall.
