CHAPEL: As there was no service on Sunday, members joined with Mullion for the Section United Service. On Sunday members are visiting Freda Lane for the friendship service, organised by Pene Oates.

CHURCH: The annual service and AGM of Truro Diocesan Guild of Bell ringers Western Division was held on Saturday and before ringing at Cury the ringers rang at Landewednack and Mullion towers. The service was conducted by the Rev John Palmer and organist was Rachel Cook.

Bell ringers came from Mawgan, Probus, Helston, Gulval, St Buryan, Perranarworthal, Truro, Landewednack, Carbis Bay, Manaccan, St Keverne, Ludgvan, Phillack, Penzance, Zennor, St Erme, Redruth and St Gluvias.

Refreshments were later served in the Methodist Church. Priscilla Oates, tower captain, thanked Marian Jennings, Lynda Law, Pene Oates, Sharon Forbes, Sue Garner, Jeanette Dodd and Brenda Lawrance for preparing and serving the delicious food. Thanks also to Tricia Monks for making the beautiful cake and icing it with the emblem of the Guild of Bell Ringers.

VILLAGE HALL: A successful family games evening was held on Friday evening when family and friends enjoyed playing pool, darts and other family games.

On Friday, April 26 at 7.30pm a cash bingo evening is being held. Free entry, raffle and licensed bar – all welcome. Low impact aerobics are back on Monday from 10am to 11am with line dancing at 7.30pm. Zumba continues on Wednesday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
