METHODIST CHURCH: Ken Mills of Mullion was the preacher on Sunday and took for his message, John the Baptist. Don Bettle read a poem by Eddie Askew called Leaving Home. The Offertory was taken up by Brenda Lawrance and accompanist was Sybil Benney who also provided the flowers.

On Sunday the preacher is the Rev Steve Swann.

VILLAGE HALL: On Monday, June 4 from 6pm the hall will be holding a barbecue to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Licensed bar and raffle. Night chasers Disco will be supplying the entertainment with music through the decades of the Queen’s reign, there will also be a pageant by The Gulls Theatre Group. The Mr & Mrs Evening organised for Thursday has been postponed until a later date.
