The eucharist service on Sunday was celebrated by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
The congregation was pleased to welcome members of other churches in the Meneage benefice. The sermon referred to the Michaelmas association with ordinations and the reducing numbers of people coming forward to the ministry and church work generally. The reading from Numbers showed that this is not a new difficulty and the church has survived many ups and downs over 2000 years. We should hold true to our faith and pray for God’s guidance. Lessons were read by Wendy Bailey and the Rector.
There will be no service on Sunday as we will be joining the 9.30am communion service at St Martin Parish Church, to be taken by Canon Linda Barley.
The service at on Sunday October 14 will be a special evening harvest service at 6.30pm, to be taken by Mr Walker. This will be followed by supper and an auction of produce.
