Sunday's service for the Sunday next before Lent was taken by the Rev Samuel Marsden.
The first lesson and the Psalm were read by Yvonne Bellinger, the second lesson by Esther Brown and Phyllis Whiting led the intercessions. This week's services will be on (Ash) Wednesday at 7pm (holy eucharist with hymns, blessing and imposition of Ashes with the Rev Judy Harris as celebrant), Thursday at 10am (holy eucharist with the Rev Len Jepp as celebrant) and Sunday at 9.30am (solemn eucharist with the Rev Judy Harris as celebrant).
Envelopes for the Lent project, The Farming Community Network will be issued at the Sunday service. The first meeting of the Lent ecumenical group will take place in Lady Chapel on Thursday at 2.30pm, with the theme 'The world of St Paul'.
There will be a hot cross bun and coffee morning following the Thursday morning service. Proceeds for church funds.
The Annual Parochial Church meeting will take place on Thursday, April 24. Churchwarden nomination forms are available from Maureen Williams.
Sunday, March 30 will be Mothering Sunday and St Bart's would be pleased to welcome everyone, young and old, to this very special service with the Rev Samuel Marsden.
