Members met for its AGM in the Methodist Church in Fore Street at 7.30pm on Friday. Dorothy Pountain, chairperson, welcomed everyone.

Apologies for absence were received and the minutes of the last AGM were read, agreed and signed. Olive Polglase, treasurer, gave her report on the club's finances followed by the chairperson who said that it had been another very successful year and several new members had joined. She thanked the committee for their hard work throughout the year.

The committee then resigned but were unanimously re-elected "en bloc" to serve for another year. Before giving her report on the 2013/14 programme, booking secretary, Phyllis Whiting, thanked Dorothy for her leadership throughout the year.

At the conclusion of the evening's business, members said together the club's "Statement of Purpose".

Before everyone enjoyed partaking in a light supper provided by the committee, members tried to find the answers to two quizzes, one testing their local knowledge and the other their knowledge of pre-decimal coinage. Four lucky lady winners received Easter eggs as prizes.

On Friday 29 members will be spending the afternoon at Roskilly's near St Keverne. This outing will conclude the 2013/14 programme.
