Morning worship on Sunday was led by the church stewards and was on the theme of Peace.
Lessons were read by Megan Bawden and Jeff Mount and the message was delivered by three speakers, Olive Polglase, Palfrey Turner and Dorothy Pountain. Organist was David Philp. During the afternoon the chapel was open for cream teas for visitors.
In the evening there was a reader’s service, led by Hazel Hockin. Coincidentally, one of her chosen readings was the story of the Apostle Thomas and his doubts, which had also been read in the morning. Paul Brown was the accompanist.
Now that Easter is over the normal church meetings continue. The Ecumenical Fellowship, formed during Lent, re-convenes on Thursday at 2.30pm, and will continue to study the life and work of St Paul. Friends from any church or none are most welcome to attend.
