Sunday morning saw the second in the current series of sermons about worship.
The preacher, the Rev David Pountain, explored the development of worship from the time of the early church to the present day. The lesson was read by Jeff Mount, David Philp was the organist.
Evening service was led by Tony Jasper from Ludgvan, who reviewed the series of events described in the gospels as following the resurrection of Jesus. The congregation was joined by friends from Helston and St. Keverne. Organist was John Gilbert.
The evening concluded with fellowship over a cup of tea.
Along with the other chapels in the Circuit, Porthleven is preparing to set out its stall at the Circuit Exhibition, to be held in Helston Methodist Church on Saturday - this should be a very exciting event and is open to all to attend.
