Sunday morning’s communion service for Pentecost was led by the Rev Harry Chant from Helston, who in his talk on the Holy Spirit emphasised the way in which the Spirit points us to Jesus.
Palfrey Turner and Olive Polglase read the lessons: Palfrey also assisted in the serving of communion. David Philp was the organist, and Mr Chant also helped to accompany the singing of the final hymn with a descant on his cornet, lending a truly festive finish to this great annual occasion.
There was no evening service, members having been invited to attend the 3pm service in the preaching pit on Tregonning Hill, another annual celebration of Pentecost.
