It was a particularly busy weekend. One of the highlights was the wedding, held on Saturday, of Ben Williams and Vicki Moyle, for which the chapel was beautifully decorated by Ben’s mother, Venessa, and his grandmother, Geraldine Allen. Later in the day the church hosted a “Review and Renew” meeting of the Circuit. An interim report was presented, information from which will be used to formulate ongoing policy for the individual chapels. The meeting was followed by tea.

The preacher for morning worship on Sunday was Hugh Trezise, a senior local preacher and member of the church, who spoke about the Holy Trinity, being celebrated on that day. David Philp was the organist.

In the evening the church again played host to the Circuit, this time for a united service, led by the Superintendent Minister, the Rev Danny Reed. The Chairman of the District, the Rev Steven Wild, was the preacher. He spoke about “The Great Commission” and urged the congregation to take the gospel out into the world around them. Also taking part in the service were the Rev Beverly Turner, Pastor Bill Reed, the Rev Stephen Swann, Julie Swann and Circuit stewards Nigel Ferris and Jackie Allen. Organist was Godfrey Richards.

Tea was served after the service, enabling a time of fellowship which was greatly enjoyed by everyone.
