President for the day on Sunday was Brian Jones and he welcomed the well known speaker, David Simpson and his wife. David has preached all over the world including the Caribbean, Ireland and Russia, he also is a popular speaker at youth gatherings.

He is chairman of the Christadelphian Auxiliary Lecturing society and organises the ALS centre in Birmingham. There were also visitors from Worcester, Solihull and St Austell. A great many visitors from all over Cornwall were attracted to the study day which David led on Saturday on John and Jesus as priests.

On Sunday afternoon David centred on the daily reading from Matthew chapter 14 with the story of Jesus walking on the water. The message was never to take your eyes off Jesus as Peter did and you will reach your goal, but Peter was saved as everyone can be through Jesus. Jesus then calmed the storm and joined his followers as he is with all believers on their walk to the kingdom. David drew a lot of lessons from his talk and reminded us that with Christ in our vessel we can smile at the storm.

After sharing tea David gave a presentation taking his listeners on a historic tour through the Bible showing how everything fitted in. He showed a fascinating time chart of peoples and nations mentioned in the Bible and many prophecies. He made particular reference to the prophetic image in Daniel chapter 2 pointing forward to the present day and the kingdom yet to come.
