Sunday's service for the fifth Sunday after Trinity was taken by Father Peter Johnson. The first lesson and the Psalm were read by Phyllis Whiting and the second lesson by Maggie Higgins. Andrew Woods was the organist.
This week's services will be on Tuesday at 9.15am (morning prayer) and 10am (holy eucharist) and on Sunday at 9.30am (service of the Word with Trina Beckett and Kim Dooley) and 6pm (sung eucharist).
St Bart's is holding a silent auction at 'Arcon', Sunset Drive, the home of Maureen Williams at 6pm on Friday. No ticket charge but a plate of food will be appreciated.
St Bart's summer fete will be in church at 10am on Wednesday, August 6. Cakes, books, refreshments, etc and a special St Bart's craft stall. Raffle tickets will be available on the day.
St Bart's would like to welcome visitors to Porthleven and to wish them a very happy time in the village.
