On Sunday morning at Breaney Chapel, Susan Bennetts was our preacher. In Music Corner Paul Jenkin was organist with Sarah Fuller on guitar until the Sunday School went downstairs. The talk at the early part of the service was a time of testing 'What plant is this?' Actually it was a stinging nettle, asking 'Is it a plant or a weed?'; docks, and several other plants from the hedgerow and garden.

Susan informed all and sundry her dictionary definition 'a weed is a plant which grows where it is not wanted!' However several of the plants (or weeds) shown are used in medicine even today. Peter Gordon read from Matthew 13 : 24-30, Nigel read Matthew 13 : 36-43 and Stephanie: Romans 8: 12-16. All the hymns were from Hymns and Psalms, including 'To God be the Glory'. The sermon continued on the usefulness of life used in many walks in life. The offering was taken by Anna, Coffee and chat on a cold morning was prepared by Val and Linda.

There was no evening service at Breaney, some had decided to attend Praise and Worship at Helston Chapel.

Breaney Lunch is planned to be held Saturday, August 6. To book telephone 01326564254.
