Focussing on the needs of persecuted Christians in various parts of the world today, morning worship was led by Ruby Brown from Leedstown.

Relevant scripture readings were taken from Psalms, Jeremiah, the epistle to the Romans and Matthew’s gospel. David Philp was the organist.

There was no evening service, instead members were invited to attend the Porthleven Carolaire on the Harbour Head, which was able to take place in fine weather once again.

The August exhibition “Porthleven has Talent” is now over. Anyone who lent items to the exhibition and has not yet collected them is invited to do so as soon as possible, to ensure they remain safe and undamaged.

Prayers at sundown has also concluded for this year. The final session on Saturday was a very beautiful candlelit communion, greatly appreciated by those who attended.
