President for the day on Sunday was Des Moore who welcomed the speaker, Roger Griffiths and visitors from Plymouth and Ludlow.

In the afternoon Roger used the inspiring daily reading from Ephesians chapters 3 and 4 and suggested everyone should read it as if addressed to them personally. God desires that all should be offered salvation through Jesus but we have the free will to accept or reject that offer of life in his kingdom when Jesus returns. What we do demonstrates what we believe and we meet each week to remember what Jesus has done for us in the communion service.

After sharing tea Roger gave a presentation about world events suggesting that God had always been in control and knew the end from the beginning. Roger looked at the prophecies in Daniel including the writing on the wall in chapter 5.

The prophecy about world empires in chapter 2 has been seen to come and go in history with only the coming of the kingdom when Jesus returns. In the Olivet prophecy in Luke chapter 21 Jesus warned of future troubles, but the message to us is to wait and hope for Him to come.
