Pastor Bill Reed and worship leader Elizabeth Tremayne led the first service in Advent which started with the singing of the Holly and the Ivy and Hannah lighting candle one which represented "Gods People".
Elizabeth then went on to demonstrate how we should be ready for the second coming , she had the help of April Combellack who acted out the Queen who was making a quick call to someone with no notice at all, making the point that we should always be ready just in case.
Pat Johns and Ruth Tripp read the lessons and Janet Hearn played the organ. April brought the lovely table decoration. Pastor Bill then took over and his message carried on the same theme The Second Coming.
Included in our prayers of intercession we prayed for John Richards one of our much loved members who is in hospital at the moment, we wish him well.
At the close of the service holy communion was administered.
On Thursday at 7pm Everett and Pauline will be giving a Christmas Decoration Demonstration at Trinity Chapel Porkellis, entrance is free, only donations to cover expenses, all are welcome.
