The celebrant and preacher at the service of holy communion on Sunday was the rector, Canon David Miller. Ray Spencer read the epistle and the gospel was read by the licensed reader, Gillian Bowles. Phil Warren led the intercessions, communion elements were presented by Clare Loveday and Sue Spencer, sidespeople were Philp Haywood and Isabel Osborne, Max Barnett rang the Sanctus Bell and organist was Anne Veneear.
On Saturday afternoon baby Mia Williams was baptised by the rector.
On Sunday the Christingle service is being held when children and their parents from the school will be taking part. The service will be led by the curate, the Rev Jane Bradbury and the licensed reader Gillian Bowles – all are welcome.
Future events: Tuesday, December 17, 7pm, community carol singing – you come along and tell us what your favourite carol is. Anne will play it and we all sing it. Enjoy a cuppa and a chat afterwards. Thursday, December 19, we will be hosting the Wendron School Carol Service.
