Disability Sunday service was led by Pastor Bill Reed with worship leader Elizabeth Tremayne.
The congregation were asked to raise their hand if they had a disability, all but one or two responded. Hannah had a blindfold and was asked to name some vegetables by touch which showed what it would be like to be blind. Then Elizabeth made lots of sounds for the congregation to guess where they came from, which showed what lack of hearing would be like. Stacey McCulloch read from Mark’s gospel, which was the story of Bartimaeus that summed it all up.
Janet played the piano and Katherine brought the flowers. Birthday greetings were sung to Joshua Tripconey who is three on Tuesday. The good sum of £415 was given to the charity for research into Prostate Cancer this was raised by the Little Lights group.
On Sunday for our Sunday School Anniversary the preacher will be Neil Didlick.
