Sunday early communion was conducted by the Rev Geoffrey Thorpe, who spoke about the parables of the mustard seed and yeast.

Morning worship was conducted by Janet Ings with the theme of “The harvest is ready but the labourers are few.” Ann Pascoe read of David’s praise to God from Psalm 145, Gina Risby read about Jesus’ commission to His followers from Matthew 28 and Colin Combellack read about the Church at Antioch from Acts 11.

Mrs Ings read from a meditation of Barnabas by Nick Fawcett and then spoke about the Holy Spirit moving in the church. Do we move with the Spirit or stay static? Are we enthusiastic about our faith and talk about it together? If not, how can we share our faith with others? We cannot keep our faith to ourselves but must reach out to people where they are and tell them about Jesus.

Margaret Eva was the organist and Richard Curnow and Colin Combellack operated the computer and projector.

Tea and coffee were served in the hall after the service On Saturday Trewennack Horticultural Show will be held in a marquee in the field beside the chapel.

On Sunday at 11am there will be a pet service in the tent, conducted by the Rev Steve Swann. All pets are welcome with well- behaved owners.

On Monday the chapel will be open for prayer and reflection to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War.
