Sign Up and Lace Up!

Ladies, get ready to lace up those trainers to walk Children’s Hospice South West’s Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth. But before you can take part in the walk on September 21 you need to register!

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is holding a sign up day at The Moor in Falmouth all day on August 22. This is an opportunity to chat to a CHSW representative, find out more about the event and register to take part. You can either register as an individual or as part of a team if you have a group of friends, family or colleagues that you would like to walk with.

The Moonlight Memory Walk is a five mile circular walk around Falmouth which will start at 10pm on the evening of the September 21 after a beautiful candle lit Memory Ceremony. It is a chance to remember loved ones, walk in their memory and celebrate their lives, alongside many other women. The Memory Ceremony, with special words of reflection and celebration, followed by a group warm up and the walk itself makes for a very unique atmosphere and something that ladies take part in year after year. This will be the fifth year that CHSW have held a Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth.

It only costs £10 to register and there is no minimum sponsorship target however all ladies taking part are encouraged to raise as much money as possible to support the children and families who use Little Harbour, the Children’s Hospice in St Austell.

Sarah Stott, Events Fundraiser for Little Harbour says “If you are at all interested in the event then please come and chat to us on August 22 at The Moor. We can give you more information and you can sign up to be part of a truly special event. All of the money raised through sponsorship will go towards the care and support given to children and families who use Little Harbour”.

Children’s Hospice South West is also holding supermarket sign up days in the run up to the event if you can’t make it to The Moor. CHSW representatives will be at ASDA in Penryn on August 15, 16 and 17.
