There are many great reasons to take part in the Moonlight Memory Walk this September. For two of the ladies it will be even more rewarding as there are some fantastic prizes to be won.

Emma Lloyd, Children’s Hospice South West’s Head of Fundraising at Little Harbour, said: “Every lady who raises more than £100 in sponsorship will be entered into a draw to win a pass for two people at the Clearing Spa at The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate in St Austell . And the lady with the highest sponsorship will win a fabulous hamper of goodies including six free haircuts, some lovely L’Oreal products and a complimentary manicure or shellac from Rococo Hair and Beauty Salon in Truro.

“So after all your hard work completing the five mile walk and raising as much money as possible, you can pamper yourself thanks to the generous donations from The Cornwall Hotel and Rococo.”

Since the Moonlight Memory Walk event began in 2009, hundreds of women have raised over £150,000 to help Children’s Hospice South West support families with life-limited children. All the money raised from this year’s event, taking place in Falmouth on Saturday 15th September, will go towards helping the charity to keep their vital services going.

Emma added: “At Children’s Hospice South West we provide a loving and caring place for every member of every family who comes to stay with us. Parents, who often struggle to cope with their child’s illness, find some relief from their responsibilities of care.

“Whether it’s getting a decent night’s sleep and enjoying a lie-in in the morning, or curling up in the cosy lounge with a great book parents can relax, be themselves and do the everyday things we might take for granted. With the homely hotel quality accommodation, delicious home cooked meals, beautiful grounds, and enticing spa room parents can come away from a stay at Little Harbour feeling really pampered too.

“The work we do is invaluable, and is a real lifeline for families here in Cornwall. Ladies, why not help by joining us for our special Moonlight Memory Walk. It is an evening that is rewarding in so many ways.”
