A Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) supporter has received an early Christmas present thanks to Rococo Hair and Beauty in Truro.

The Lemon Street salon treated Emily Gormley from Falmouth to a hamper full of goodies as a reward for raising the most in individual sponsorship for the charity’s Moonlight Memory Walk in September.

After all her hard fundraising efforts, she can now relax and enjoy the luxury prize which includes six free haircuts, a manicure, a range of L’Oreal hair products, and a bottle of champagne.

The kind-hearted hairdressers support CHSW and their Moonlight Memory Walk every year, much to the delight of the charity and Emily who won the prize.

Nick Jessup, owner of Rococo Hair & Beauty, said: “We first supported Children’s Hospice South West in 2008 at the St Moritz Fashion Show and are delighted to have provided a prize for the Moonlight Memory Walk over the past four years.”

Emily Gormley, who raised a marvellous £394.44, was thrilled to be named the highest sponsorship prize winner. In total the event saw four hundred ladies together pledging around £30,000.

Emily said: “I was really happy and surprised to win this fantastic prize as I’ve never won anything before.

“My grandparents inspired me to take part in the Moonlight Memory Walk as Children’s Hospice South West is their favourite charity and they gave donations to Little Harbour for their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.”

“I was so pleased to have raised a good amount of money for such a deserving charity.”
