A person has to be rescued from the cold gloopy mud of the River Allen in Truro on Sunday.
Firefighters from Truro alongside specialist water rescue units from Falmouth and St Austell were called out to the River Allen at New Bridge Street just after midnight after a report of a person that had fallen into mud.
A fire service spokesman said: “Firefighters rescued the casualty from the river and the casualty was left in care of ambulance personnel. The firefighters left the scene by 1.15am."
