Man dies after crash in Cornwall
Police are investigating a collision on the A38 near Saltash after a 67-year-old man died.
At approximately 7.15am on Saturday (September 6), a collision occurred between a Landrover and a parked, unattended, HGV trailer on the A38 Westbound Carriageway near Carkeel, Saltash.
The Landrover driver, a 67 year-old man from the nearby area, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place, resulting in the A38 between Stoketon and Carkeel being closed for approximately six hours.
Police from the Plymouth Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them on 101 quoting log number 220 of 6th September 2014.
