A pillion passenger on a motorbike who died after a crash in Cornwall has been named as 29-year-old  Emily Garrett. 

Ms Garrett, from Plymouth, died after the motorbike was travelling on collided with the crash barrier on the central reservation under the Moorswater flyover on the A38 near Liskeard at around 2.45pm on Saturday, September 13.


Her heartbroken family have paid tribute to the "vibrant, talented, young artist" who was taken from them so "suddenly and so cruelly".
 
The family said: "We are heartbroken to share the news that, Emily Kathleen Alexandria Garrett, beloved daughter of Rosalie and Melvyn, loving caring sister to Stephen and Tracy, tragically lost her life.

"Emily, was born on the March 11, 1985, and lived in Honicknowle, Plymouth. She was a vibrant, talented, young artist, who adored Yorkshire terriers and horses, especially her little man ‘Goober’. Actively caring for others and eager to help charities, Emily, had a sense of love for all around her and a spirit for life that was unmatched."
"She was a highly talented student, attending Plymouth University, studying illustrating and art. Having recently, passed her nail technician course with distinctions, she had started a new business in the Plymouth area. Emily was very popular, and will be sadly missed."

"Emily was taken suddenly and so cruelly and the family are struggling to come to terms with this tragic and horrific loss."
