BARCLAYS Bank in Truro was closed this morning after staff arriving for work reported finding signs of an intruder, including a bag of beer.
Police were called at around 8.35am after the bank in King Street first opened. Staff reported finding a bag of beer and radio in the doorway and suspected somebody may be in the bank, despite nobody being seen.
Staff closed branch and left while police carried out a search, which included a police dog and his handler.
The branch reopened shortly after 10am and investigatons are ongoing.
