Police have started house to house enquires after the shooting of a woman in a Cornish car park.

A spokesman for the force said that, "due to the serious nature of the incident" police are conducting house-to-house enquiries across the whole of Millendreath.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone with any information which may help the investigation to contact them.

The victim remains critically ill in Derriford Hospital but is reported to be in a stable condition.

The major crime team is investigating the shooting of a woman in Millendreath which is believed to have taken place in the early hours of the morning of Monday, September 29.

This resulted in a serious head injury of a 57-year old-women from Millendreath.

Three people have been arrested this week in relation to this shooting but none have been charged at this time.

In particular the police sought a man who was seen to be walking a dog at approximately 06.11hrs on Monday, September 29 near Millendreath car park.

He has now been identified.
