Firefighters were called out to free a casualty 'severly trapped' in a vehicle after a crash on the A38 in the early hours of this morning.
Crews were called to the road near Bodmin just after 3am after a report of a crash involving a car and a large goods vehicle.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said: "A total of twelve firefighters on one fire appliance and a rescue tender were mobilised from Bodmin fire station.
"One casualty was severly trapped in the cars wreckage and firefighters used a lighting set and crash rescue equipment to cut the person free.
"A second casualty who was not trapped was treated by ambulance paramedics on scene."
Firefighters made the scene safe and also used a thermal imaging camera to check the surrounding area for further casualties as a precaution, however none were found.
