A man has died following a two vehicle crash on Sunday, with two young girls who were passengers in the car taken to hospital.

Police and the other emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the A395 at Laneast near Launceston on Sunday, (November 30) just after noon.

The collision involved a white Mini and a red BMW 318. The male driver of the Mini died at the scene.

Two children, girls aged 10 and 13 who were passengers in the Mini, were taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment for arm injuries.

The male driver of the BMW and his female passenger were both airlifted to Derriford with non life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while investigations took place.

The man’s next of kin has been informed.
