Police have issued a photo of a man they wish to locate following a recall to prison.

Alex Shirley was convicted of robbery at Truro Crown Court on September 18 and sentenced to a suspended sentence order comprising 18 months imprisonment suspended for two years.

However on 27 November the Court of Appeal Criminal Division quashed the suspended sentence order and substituted a custodial sentence of 5 years and 5 months.

He is now sought for recall to prison and police intend to arrest him once located.

Alex Shirley is a white man aged 27 years, 5’7” tall with cropped black hair.

He is known locally as 'scouse Jay'.

He resides in Newquay but also has links to Liverpool.
