There will be daffodils galore at The Alverton Hotel in Truro for a grand fundrising ball in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The Truro Fundraising Group are holding The Daffodil Ball on Saturday, March 21, with 100 guests set to enjoy an evening of delicious food, luxury raffles and auction and the chance to dance the night away to live band ‘Double Bounce’.

Tom Mackins, personal dining chef from Newquay has donated his services for an auction lot, dinner for six cooked and served in the lucky winners home.

Mark Kaczmarek will host the auction which has a host of wonderful gifts, all donated by local businesses and individuals.

The room will be decorated with fresh daffodils supplied by Fentongollan Flower Farm at St. Michael Penkivel.

Truro Fundraising Group chairman, Merrill Burrows said “I hope readers will join us and raise valuable funds for their local Marie Curie Nursing Service. This promises to a great evening."

All monies raised in Cornwall will support the 26 Marie Curie Nurses working in the homes throughout the county. The Marie Curie Nurses provide high quality nursing care to terminally ill patients whose choice is to spend their last days in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own homes.
