Members of the West Cornwall Branch of the National Autistic Society have held a sponsored swim and raised £400 by their efforts.

The branch also received a generous donation of £2,000 from the Bolingey Barbarians, part of which has enabled the purchase of new floats and other necessary equipment.

The club meet in Truro on Saturday and is held for children aged five to 16 who are on the autistic spectrum.

There are three qualified swimming coaches assisted by three volunteers to help with the 20 plus children who regularly attend.
