Police in Newquay have successfully apprehended a runaway horse after it was spotted trotting through the town.
Several officers were sent to hunt for the horse after police received several reports of the beast having been spotted in the town centre.
Inspector Dave Meredith, who called the call an "interesting one," tweeted a photo at around 9pm, with a caption which read: "The runaway horse in Newquay has just been detained in the Mayfield estate. It's now back with its owner."
