Firefighters were called yesterday afternoon to an electrical fire in a chalet at Trenance, Newquay at around 1.20pm.

Two engines with 11 firefighters from Newquay were sent to the fire, on a holiday parkand arrived to find smoke was coming from the eight metre by eighte metre building.

A spokesperson reported that the fire was out on crews arrival, so a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building, and the electricity supply was isolated.
