POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a photographer had over £4,000 worth of equipment stolen whilst he was taking pictures on Porthtowan Beach.
The theft happened at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, April 21. A shoulder bag, containing equipment valued at a total of £4,400, was taken while the male photographer (from the Truro area) was taking pictures at the beach.
This included an Apple Macbook Air laptop (£700), an Apple iPhone 4S (£275), three Canon lenses (£2,195 total), JVC headphones (£9), Canon charger (£40), Canon batteries (£120) and an Olympus compact camera with 64MB memory card (£320), plus various other items.
Police are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact them. They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the items for sale.
