A wheelie bin fire near Truro yesterday evening is being investigated by police due to the belief it may have been started deliberately.
One fire engine from Truro was called to the blaze at the Sunny Corner area of Malpas just before 9pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews found a small fire in a litter bin. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately."
The spokesperson added that details have been passed to Devon and Cornwall Police.
