A driver who died after being crushed to death when his tractor overturned in Camborne has been named as Robert Vokes from St Austell.
Police today named Mr Vokes, 42, who died on Monday, July 6, after the tractor which was towing a large trailer overturned at the entrance to Pendarves Farm at around 5pm.
A spokesperson said: "Robert became trapped under the tractor and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
"A specialist forensic investigation of the scene was carried out by police resulting in the access road to the farm being closed for six hours."
A formal identification had now been carried out of Mr Vokes, who came from a large family and had a love of farming.
Police said the Health and Safety Executive has been informed, and officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
