A member of the public discovered a body in a stream under a bridge near Victoria Gardens in Truro early this morning.
The ambulance service was called to the park at around 6.40am and found the man, believed to be in his 40s, was already dead when they arrived.
Police were also called, and set up a cordon in the park.
A police spokesperson said the death was being treated as unexplained, although it was not considered to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
