A man from Holsworthy has died following a crash at Perranwell near Goonhavern on Friday night.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the single vehicle collision, where a blue Fiat Panda driven by an 80 year old man leftthe road near the Whitehouse Inn on the A3075, at around 10.45pm.
Emergency services were called, and the driver was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Treliske Hospital, where he later died.
The road was closed for more than four hours for police to examine the scene of the collision.
Officers from Camborne Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances and asking for any witnesses to contact them on 101 or by email on101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk quoting log number 1026 of 07/08/15.
