Police in Truro are appealing for information following a house burglary in the city where the culprits got away with a large quantity of jewellery and cash.

The incident occurred sometime between the 12.30pm and 2.40pm on Wednesday, August 19, at a property in Trevean Road, near to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske. It is not clear how the offender(s) gained entry into the house, but once inside they carried out an untidy search of the whole property.

The offender(s) stole a safe which contained about £6,500 in cash together with a large quantity of jewellery including. This included a white gold and platinum, three diamond ring; a white gold wedding band; a white gold full circle diamond ring; a white gold and platinum diamond ring; a white gold ring, ruby in the centre and diamond either side.

Also taken were a yellow white and rose gold bracelet, a set of pearl and gold stud earrings, a gold ring with an emerald in the centre and a diamond either side, a gold star of David on a chain, a double strand of pearls with a diamond clasp, a set of yellow stud gold earrings, a gold pocket watch on a chain in a grey velvet pouch, a gold necklace with the word "Loved", made by Dog eared ( a brand ), a gold ring, knots, made by Kate Spade, two really long necklaces made by True Faith, three gold bands/rings, a gold ring with three amethysts, a gold engagement ring with three diamonds, a gold signet ring, a gold ring, thin keeper style, a gold chain with a heart shaped locket, a yellow gold diamond eternity ring with seven diamonds, an 18 inch gold belcher chain, a gold rope link chain, a gold box link chain, a set of white gold diamond earrings, three gold "full" bangles, a gold cuff bangle, a gold and pearl bar brooch, a diamond bar brooch, a set of small half loop yellow gold earrings.

A large quantity of costume jewellery was also taken along with a gold charm bracelet with the following charms: an Eiffel tower, a ten shilling note in a tube, a £1 note in a tube, a windmill, a flower, a star, two girls, one boy, a ship's wheel, a heart with a ruby, and a train.

In addition to the cash and jewellery, a white iPAD air, 32gb, wi fi; a silver iPOD; a black iPOD docking station, a black Samsung camera, a black Samsung Galaxy Ace mobile phone, a red Blackberry mobile phone and a Dell Inspiron laptop with a red top and black lower were also stolen.
