A crew from Newquay Fire Station which was called to a fire in a commercial premises found the flames were out upon arrival.
Firefighters were called to Porth Way in Newquay at around 4.30pm on Friday to a fire in a commercial deep fat fryer, but found it had been extinguished by staff using a fire blanket.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews carried out an inspection to ensure all was safe."
