The British Army put college students through their paces with a series of tough challenges.
Nearly 100 students from Truro and Penwith College who are studying Public Services diplomas spent a day with the British Army Outreach Team to develop their teamwork and leadership skills.
The group participated in different command tasks, including bridge building and creating pulley systems, while having the opportunity to interact with currently serving soldiers, all of whom are qualified in different trades within the Army.
Students were then truly tested with the British Army entry requirement fitness exam by an Army physical training instructor. This included a 1.5 mile run, followed by a jerry can carry for 30 metres or more. The day was rounded off with a career presentation, delivered by the Armed Forces Careers Office.
