EIGHTIES legends Duran Duran are to headline the finale of BBC Music Day at the Eden Project on Friday June 3 with the iconic biomes providing the backdrop to the spectacular outdoor stage.

The 6,000 capacity concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 as part of a four hour special hosted by Sara Cox from 8pm – midnight. The concert will also feature in a BBC One special programme broadcast later that weekend. BBC One’s The One Show will also be coming live from the Eden Project in the build up to the concert.

We love the idea of BBC Music Day; it’s a fantastic way to bring people together across the country and to promote live music. Tickets are now on sale to Eden Inside Track pass holders until 2pm on Monday 18 April. General tickets sales start from 4pm on Monday 18 April. Tickets will be available online only through www.edenproject.com/bbc-music-day. Duran Duran live at Eden with BBC Music Day will start from 6pm on Friday June 3. Tickets allow entry to the Eden Project on the day of the event and the day after (Saturday 4 June).

BBC Music Day is returning for its second year, celebrating all types of music from around the UK and the Channel Islands. Bringing live music to people through an exciting range of events around the theme of collaboration, it aims to unite communities across different generations. BBC Music Day will feature broadcasts across BBC TV, Radio and digital services from 6am to midnight.
